Our Lady and St Andrew Conference, Galashiels

 The Society of St Vincent de Paul in Scotland is a Christ-centred charity whose aim is to become the leading, lay Catholic charity operating Scotland wide by actively seeking out and bringing hope and help to those in our communities experiencing hardships in all their forms.

As a result of the generous weekly donations in our collection boxes and the monies raised through our social events, our SSVP conference is able to support several good causes, e.g.

• St Margaret's R.C. Primary School
• Local requests for help via the presbytery, Citizens Advice (CAB), individuals
• Local foodbanks
• World disaster appeals
• twinning with SSVP groups in India and South Africa
